You create every task. Google access is read-only and used only when you ask for context. Gmail and Calendar content is processed on your device and is not sent to Ahead’s developer.
Information you provide
Ahead stores the tasks, dates, and context you choose to keep locally on your device. Voice input is converted to text using Apple’s speech-recognition services; Ahead does not retain audio recordings.
Google Calendar and Gmail
If you connect Google, Ahead requests read-only access to Calendar and Gmail. When you add a task and request context, the app searches for relevant events or messages such as receipts, return policies, renewal notices, and travel details.
Ahead cannot send email, edit events, delete messages, or create tasks automatically. It does not continuously or proactively scan your account.
How Google data is handled
Google API requests and enrichment run on your device. Google content is not transmitted to Ahead’s developer and is not used to train generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models. If you accept a suggestion, the context shown with that task is stored locally on your device. OAuth credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain.
Sharing and tracking
Ahead does not sell personal information, share Google user data with advertisers or data brokers, or use advertising trackers. The app does not include third-party analytics in version 1.0.
Your controls
- Delete individual tasks at any time.
- Disconnect Google to remove the saved OAuth token from your device.
- Revoke Ahead from your Google Account permissions page.
- Delete the app to remove its local task data according to iOS behavior.
Google API Limited Use
Ahead’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the effective date above will be updated and the new policy will be published here before the change takes effect.
